Tretinoin generic for renova induces synthesis of proteins to take place in the cells, and also inhibits the matrix metalloproteinases [MMP] enzymes from breaking down collagen and elastin, which are the key structural proteins of the skin. The chemical compound of Renova and Retin-A works on the rough or wrinkled skin by making it shed its dead, outer layer while stimulating the skin to produce fresh cells at a faster pace.
