Hypertension is a disorder causing elevated levels of blood pressure. Hypertension is called a silent killer because patients suffering from it do not exhibit any obvious symptoms. Some non-specific, but common symptoms of hypertension are; frequent headaches, shortness of breath, dizziness and blurring of vision. These symptoms, though not very specific to hypertension, should certainly alert a patient about the possibility of hypertension. It is advisable to check the blood pressure at regular intervals, especially after the age of 40 years, so that the disease can be diagnosed early.

This medicine helps by increasing the excretion of salt via urination. Along with salt, there is also an increase in the excretion of water from the body.
